Young Professional Exchange
Sammamish Rotary is a key participant in a District 5030 Rotary Club program designed for young professionals ages 25 – 35.
For a period of 8 – 10 days, American participants are part of a small group of other young professionals and travel to Japan, where they will be hosted by a Rotary club. They will stay in a Japanese home of a Rotarian club member who has volunteered to host them. Participants will visit companies selected by the host Rotary Club and have a chance to interact with employees and experience the Japanese corporate culture, how they make decisions, how they interact together, and what they focus on to make their success. They will also spend time in Rotary/Rotaract activities and social cultural activities.
Similarly, there is a group of young professionals from Japan who will visit the Seattle area, hosted by Sammamish Rotarians and other Rotary Clubs. Their days are busy with visits to some of the top companies in the US. Past corporate visits include Costco, Microsoft, Talking Rain, Amazon, Mac and Jacks and many others as well as experiencing the great Pacific Northwest scenery and culture.
In 2026, Sammamish Rotary will be sponsoring a group traveling to Osaka, Japan in April..
