Printable Dreams Come True

Jon Gerace and Mardie Rhodes of Sammamish Rotary with Atharv Kumaria after Rotary supported Printable Dreams with funding for a 3D printer.

When 13-year-old Atharv Kumaria spoke in front of the Sammamish City Council this year, he didn't realize that a Rotarian was listening. Atharv talked about kids having challenges and how he wants to help them out by taking their drawings and turning them into 3D-printed objects.

Rotarian Jon Gerace was at the meeting and spread the word. Sammamish Rotary invited Atharv to speak to us about his new nonprofit, Printable Dreams. Printable Dreams and the Rotarians were so moved by Atharv's vision and story that they presented him with a check to purchase a dedicated 3D printer for his nonprofit. Atharv was having to share a printer, and access was challenging.

Sammamish Rotary prides itself on supporting the dreams of our youthful visionaries who want to make the world a better place. Kids like Atharv make us excited for the future.
