Sammamish Rotarians Roll Up Their Sleeves for Adopt-A-Road Cleanup
Service Above Self was on full display on Saturday, October 17, as members of the Rotary Club of Sammamish came together for another successful Adopt-A-Road cleanup along Sahalee Way NE.
Eight dedicated Rotarians volunteered their Saturday morning to help keep Sammamish beautiful by collecting litter and debris along the club's adopted stretch of roadway.
Participating in the cleanup were Jerry Norman, Clint Scott, Bill and Sally Bastine, Cary Young, Kristina Williams, Jon Gerace, and Marilyn Guthrie.
The group gathered at the Evans Creek Preserve upper parking lot near the cleanup site. Equipped with safety vests, gloves, and litter collection tools, volunteers spent the morning making a visible difference in our community.
The Adopt-A-Road program is one of the many ways Sammamish Rotary demonstrates its commitment to environmental stewardship and community service. By helping maintain clean and welcoming roadsides, Rotarians contribute to the beauty and well-being of the city we call home.
A big thank-you to all our volunteers for giving their time and energy to this worthwhile project!
Small acts of service add up to a big impact. Whether cleaning up roadsides, supporting local food banks, or helping neighbors in need, Sammamish Rotary continues to put its motto, Service Above Self, into action.
