Max Marks 8/2019
My name is Max Marks and I am a sophomore attending Brigham Young University in the fall. I recently returned from a two-year service mission for the Church of Jesus Christ in Cali, Colombia. I was blessed by the opportunity to learn the language and culture as I sought ways to serve the Colombian people. My time there inspired me to continue finding ways to serve others. I hope to do so by studying medicine, particularly Physiology and Developmental Biology at BYU.
This August, I plan to work as a certified phlebotomist technician: a valuable experience in preparation for dental school following my undergraduate education. I also plan to be an assistant and translator in a humanitarian organization that periodically travels to South America to provide medical aid. Just as the Rotary Club emphasizes so well, service to others brings us the most joy in this life.
