Greetings, Rotarians! Thank you again for having me to your meeting—each time I visit, I am again impressed by the strength of the community in the Sammamish Rotary. Thanks to your generous support, I have been able to take advantage of many different opportunities over this past year. This past summer, I studied abroad in Puebla, Mexico and shadowed at a hospital there. I was able to shadow in the emergency department, scrub in to surgeries, and learn how to use a stethoscope from the interns I met. I have also been tutoring school age children near OU and helping to lead an ESL class at the local library, which has allowed me to learn more about the community that lives all around OU. I look forward to going to Madrid next semester—stay tuned to hear about my learning experiences abroad! Until next time!
