Dr. Christopher Austin is a UK educated physician, trained in Internal Medicine and Radiology with additional qualifications in biomedical informatics and epidemiology. He is one of our newer members and joined the club after relocating to Washington from London. His past history with Rotary includes being a recipient of Rotary International’s prestigious Ambassadorial Scholarship for post-graduate studies. As a full time member now, he enjoys supporting local and international Rotary based service efforts.
He currently serves as the Medical Director of Artificial Intelligence and Analytics at GE Healthcare, where he and his team architect and develop deep learning applications, aimed at transforming diagnostic radiology and improving patient care globally. Dr. Austin holds a medical degree from the University of Glasgow, an MSc in Epidemiology from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, and trained in radiology at University College London Hospital. He currently resides in Sammamish with his Scottish wife and three British-American children.
