Community Service

About Community Service

Rotarians have put Service Above Self for more than a century. Through the Avenue of Community Service, Rotarians give back to the places where we live. The projects are as varied as the Rotary clubs that carry them out, but all address the needs of our community.

Objectives of the Community Service Committee

The objectives of the Community Service Committee are to identify, promote, and fund suitable projects and initiatives in Sammamish and surrounding communities, which merit financial and/or physical support by the Rotary Club of Sammamish.

The Goals of the Community Service Committee

  • To encourage families; strengthen communities; build a better world
  • To foster interaction between the Rotary Club and the residents of Sammamish and surrounding communities

The members of the Rotary Club of Sammamish work hard to earn the funds to support community service projects.  We work just as hard volunteering in our communities to support programs helping people in need.  Whether it is Thanksgiving food baskets or Christmas presents for victims of domestic violence or hosting a food drive for the food bank, it all focuses on building a stronger community network.
