7-9-09  Representatives Jay Rodne and Glenn Anderson (our 5th District representatives) will present a general wrap up of the Washington State legislative session

7-16-09 Gary Pollock - The Moyer Foundation

7-23-09 Scott Oki, local entrepreneur, philanthropist, and education reformer discusses explains his new book, Outrageous Learning: Foundational Thoughts on Reforming Our Public Schools. He describes the real problems facing schools today and offers 11 ideas for bringing constructive change to public education.

7-30-09 Dianne Reely, VP of Patient Experience. The title of her talk is "New Overlake Medical Center of Issaquah and Expanded Health Care Services"

8-6-09 - Carlos Arragon (District Membership Rep) - "Marketing Rotary"

8-13-09 Jeremy Dion, Marcia McAffee's son, singing performance including the national anthem. We don't need anyone to do pledge that day.

9-3-09 Superior Court Judge Patricia Clark speaking on "Juvenile Justice"

9-10-09 Nathan Elledge, Police Chief - City of Sammamish - He will be coming to meet all of us Rotarians and answer questions. It's a "Meet and Greet" with Nathan.

9-17-09 Dr. Bob Cummins and his wife, Anna Cummins, Olympic medalists.  Their talk is on Gold Medal Health.

9-24-09 Club Assembly

10-1-09 David Woodward, President, Associates in Cultural Exchange. He will be speaking on “An American Iranian’s perspective on the Muslim World.”

10-8-09  John Cartmell, MS, who is a certified nutritionist, who will be speaking on Nutrition and Cancer.

10-15-09 District 5030 Governor, Nancy Dalton, visits our club. Request for nominations of officers and directors for 2010-11 year. 

10-22-09 Sally Mackle, who is a member of the Seattle 4 Rotary Club, will present on “Demining in Bosnia”.  

10-29-09 No meeting

11-5-09 Club meeting at Eastside Catholic School. There will be no special speaker.

11-12-09 Randy Hutson of the Red Cross. Announcement of slate of officers and directors for 2010-11 year.

11-19-09 Joannie Masters will give a presentation on Rotaplast International.  The program that provides free reconstructive surgery for children born with cleft lip and palates in third world countries.  Election of officers and directors for 2010-11 year

11-26-09 No meeting

12-3-09 Paul Figueroa of Peace Enforcement LLC. His title to his talk is "The Lost Child," which is an initiative he has to rescue kids. Paul is a former King County policeman. David Endocitt from Seattle 4 will be introducing him.

12-10-09 C.J. Kahler will present on his Rotary trip to Ethiopia and Uganda.

12-17-09 Lori Sweningson of Seattle 4 will present on the topic of Global Team - Local Initiatives. A program she works on in Africa. 

12-24-09 No Meeting

12-31-09 Club Assembly C.J. Kahler will finish presentation on his Rotary Trip to Africa.

1-7-10 Andrew Wappler who is with Puget Sound Energy. Andy is speaking on Clean, Green Energy and on Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency.

1-14-10   Kathy Fahlmandewalt, Executive Producer, Ten Grands/Snowman Foundation. Kathy's presentation is about this program and how it supports music education for students through out the state of Washington.

1-21-10 David Endicott. His topic is "Rotary Program University: The Glue that Holds Our Club Together."

1-28-10 Curt Madden from Scare Productions. He will be talking about Scare & Nightmare at Beaverlake.

2-4-10 Sue Gilbert. Sue produced a documentary called The Legacy, a documentary about three generations of her wealthy family and their values.  Post-screening discussions across the country made her realize that her story helps people talk about the intersection of money, work and self worth.  Using excerpts from her film, Sue has developed a short presentation to help people examine issues such as self esteem vs. bank accounts – and whether they treat the rich differently than others.

2-11-10 Wasington State Attorney General Rob McKenna will be speaking to our club on his involvement with Eastside Domestic Violence. 

2-18-10 Debi Waldeck.  She has written three books and lives in Sammamish.  Her topic is “Saving Generation Next.”  She will be covering the topic of increased diagnosis of auto immune disease.

2-25-10  Andy McDonald, who is president of c4w.   He will be speaking on the partnership between Computers for the World and Rotary First Harvest.

3-4-10 Robin DuBrin – (Member of Emerald City Rotary Club and Founder of Computers For The World) – Their club is raising funds to build the first girls’ school that has ever existed in Onkhyai Valley in Afghanistan.  

3-11-10  Dr. Julie Miller, Founder & President of Business Writing that Counts Training Company is speaking on “Email Best Practices: How To Establish Them In Your Business."

3-18-10 Frederick Grimm is the president Chief Seattle Council of the Boy Scouts of America.  His topic is “Building Self Esteem in our Youth.”

3-25-10 Club Assembly.

4-1-10 Todd Hollow-Bist,PHD – “The Use of Everyday Psychology in Business"

4-8-10 Chris Leyerle – Hydrovolts – Harvesting Clean Energy 

4-15-10 Fred Nystrom, Editor and Publisher of the Issaquah/Sammamish Magazine.

4-29-10 David Hermansson, Swedish Foreign Exchange Student from the Issaquah Rotary Club.  Craig Nelson from the Issaquah Rotary will be introducing him to our club. 5-27-10 Club Assembly
